Exhibit Spotlight
The Conestoga Wagon,
one of the History Center’s best-known artifacts, was moved to its home in the new York County History Center museum in February. The wagon was the primary mode of transporting commercial goods to markets in Colonial America and played a key role in the young nation’s westward expansion.
